About 400 varieties of dates are cultivated in Iran, but only some of them, mentioned bellow, because their tastes compose the major kinds.
The most exquisite species of dates are produced in Iran. Southern, southwestern, and southeastern areas of Iran are the producer of many of the large varieties of dates which are acclaimed worldwide.
